Fondue is my new best friend...

I got to celebrate my 28th birthday a day early with my parents since Jason and I are flying out tomorrow. My parents treated me to a night at The Melting Pot. It was my first time to eat there and I highly recommend it to anyone. It's a bit pricey, so save it for a special occasion (like your birthday). The dessert chocolate fondue was my favorite.

Snow Tubing!

It has finally cleared outside. Beautiful blue skies and low wind levels made it a perfect day for some snow tubing, even if it was 5 degrees outside. It has become a tradition during the Christmas holidays when we are visiting my parents in Colorado. My camera was acting up so all I have pictures of are Jason and I standing with our tubes. The actions shots will have to wait for another time.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas...

Jason and I flew into Denver, CO, on Christmas morning. It was snowing like crazy and we had several snow plows that led us to our gate after we landed. I'm glad we made it safely.

After we opened presents, we started to prepare for our traditional Christmas dinner - Fajitas! It beats a turkey/ham any day! Add some avocado slices, red beans, potatoes, and you've got a great meal. Of course, dad had to brave the elements to grill the fajitas, but it was worth it.

Due to the foot of snow we received throughout the day, Dad and I spent some time shoveling snow out of our drive way and helping some of our neighbors with theirs. Dad even shoveled the sidewalk around the neighborhood and then we went for a walk.

We're getting another snow storm today, so I'm sure I'll have some more exciting pictures to show you.
