First Christmas in Texas & 7 Months

We had a lovely Christmas holiday in Austin, TX. Natalie's gifts were soon forgotten since the wrapping paper was much more intriguing. I'm sure that will change in the years to come. We stayed with my brother in Bastrop, TX (southeast of Austin). The parental units came down from Denver, so we had a big crowd. Natalie got to meet her grandpa, uncle, aunt, and cousins for the first time and she won their hearts instantly. Besides spending time with family, we also got to see our dear friends that still live in Austin. It is such a wonderful feeling to know that we have so many wonderful people in our lives. Jason and I are truly blessed! It was also fun introducing Natalie to everyone. You can always tell that you are in Texas because the flag is everywhere!

Jason and I were a bit nervous about traveling with a baby. For the most part, Natalie was great in the car. There was only one time that we had to listen to her cry and that was on our way into Austin. She wasn't the only one ready to get out of the car and eat! The trip home was much easier.
BTW, Natalie turned 7 months during the holidays. She's growing up so quickly. She's already pushing up into the crawling position and rocking back and forth. Yesterday, she started moving her knees forward a little so forward movement shouldn't be too far away. It's pretty scary!!! Baby proofing here we come!

I miss seeing those TX flags everywhere!!
We just got bk from England and while we were in London we were passing by all the embassies. Of course, we passed the "Texas Embassy" - a restaurant. I had to get a picture! I love TX!

Looks like it's time to lower the crib mattress too! David is doing the same thing in his bed. They grow too fast.
